Kelsey Burke administers Pediatric Constraint Induced Movement Therapy (P-CIMT) and other intensive therapy protocols for children with a variety of diagnoses. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. What she values most is empowering patients to engage in everyday activities that they want to do. She recognizes that intensive therapies help individuals gain an increased level of independence and provides them with greater daily confidence.  She has a strong research interest in health disparities and the global development towards improving science behind evidenced-based practices in all forms of pediatric rehabilitation, and has traveled internationally in many therapeutic efforts and is committed to empowering all children and families by working with scientists and clinicians to enhance evidenced-based services as well as improve services across all communities.
