Becky Carpio was born and raised in Staunton, Va. She received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in mathematics from The College of William and Mary. Becky also received a Master’s degree at the George Washington University in Genomics and Proteomics. Becky’s previous research includes: immunology, retroviruses (HIV and HTLV), Rift Valley Fever Virus, and in vitro diagnostics for enteric diseases. Becky and her husband Larry live in South Roanoke with their two sons- Jonah and Jacob. Becky enjoys running, cooking, gardening and being outside with her family.
