Fralin Biomedical Research Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council
Our Mission
The mission of the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Council is to serve as a bidirectional communications conduit between institute leadership and multiple stakeholder groups who work within the institute in order to help facilitate increased diversity, and inclusion, contributing to an environment that facilitates an increase of the diversity of institute faculty, staff and students with respect to color, race, gender, religion, national origin, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, military service, sexual orientation and family structure. The group will meet with institute leadership to provide a platform for productive communication to take full advantage of our diverse range of experiences, visions, and perspectives as a scientific community and to support leadership in transforming them into obtainable actions and sustainable positive change.
