Advisory Board

The Fralin Biomedical Research Advisory Board consists of senior industry executives, alumni, community members, researchers, and people who have a passion for biomedical research from across the U.S. The board meets twice a year and engages in consultation with the executive director of the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, administrators, researchers, and graduate students. Members provide advice to the executive director, share the latest trends with industry partnerships, and offer support for the research enterprise.

Specific functions of the Advisory Board include:

• Serving as a sounding board to assist the Executive Director.
• Assisting as ambassadors to help educate, inform and uplift the efforts of the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute and Virginia Tech.
• Serving as an advocate of the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute with the University administration.
• Assisting in articulating needs to the potential donors, community members, industry partners.
