Marjorie Tenzer
Marjorie Tenzer is a former senior global marketing executive for IBM, and played an integral role in the transformation that redesigned the company’s marketing approach and organizational model – converging marketing and communications.
While at IBM, she led marketing for Global Hardware and Software Brands, Global Partner Channels, and North America. She was also part of monumental strategy and product launches for the company, including Smarter Planet and IBM Watson.
During her 30-year career in high-technology in Boston and New York, she spearheaded numerous business, marketing, and communications strategies, as well as go-to-market initiatives.
Tenzer grew up in the Roanoke Valley, and recently moved back following her career in high-technology. She’s happy to once again call Roanoke her home, and is excited for its future as it continues to grow and flourish.
She currently serves on various community boards and councils including the Jefferson Center, Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council, and the board of directors for the Valley’s Innovation Council. Tenzer is also a former member of Forrester’s Chief Marketing Officer Advisory Council.
Tenzer received her undergraduate degree in commerce and marketing from the University of Virginia.
