Maria Clarke

Maria Clarke, CFA, is an executive director and banker in the Washington, D.C., office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Maria advises some of the most prominent clients in the area, including affluent individuals, family offices, private equity partners, nonprofits and institutions.

She takes a holistic approach across the balance sheet — investments, credit, lending, estate strategies — to help navigate the complexities of financial decision-making.

Maria brings a legacy of board service and philanthropy to inform her understanding of the needs of high-net-worth clients. She is adept at pre- and post-liquidity planning, tax mitigation and asset diversification.

Maria invests herself in understanding each family's financial scenario, coordinating the strengths of J.P. Morgan to help pursue their priorities and preserve their wealth while educating the next generation on the responsibilities to come. Her clients regard her as their personal advocate who always has their best interest in mind.

Before joining J.P. Morgan, Maria spent two decades focused on private equity and institutional clients.

Most recently, she was with Bank of America Private Bank. She was previously a managing principal at ISG Advisers, a real estate investment advisory firm.

Maria has an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Miami and a B.S. in finance and corporate law from Florida State University. She completed the Georgetown University Executive Program in International Finance and Global Markets. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.

A South Florida native, Maria is deeply involved in the Washington, D.C., community, where she is a long-time resident. She is past president and current advisory board member for the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Maria has served in other substantive board and leadership roles at the Inova Health System Foundation Board, National Symphony Orchestra, International Women's Forum, Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Maria is also a proud Hokie parent.
