Virginia Tech Green Lab Certification

Launched in January 2022 as a product of a parnership between Virginia Tech Environmental Health and Safety and the Office of Sustainability, the Virginia Tech Green Lab Certificiation Program is a self-assessment tool that empowers, encourages, and recognizes labs that are engaging in sustainable practices.  The program provides faculty, staff, and students with the tools needed to go green in their labs. Each lab will complete the assessment to get a baseline score for sustainability. An 80% or higher represents the criteria to be recognized as a 'certified' green lab. Labs can implement change and re-take the assessment to achieve certification.
