Dory A. Wallace

Since 2004, Dory Wallace's career as an Occupational Therapist and researcher has been focused on the implementation of intensive therapies, specifically ACQUIREc Therapy a P-CIMT exemplar. She has been treating and supervising in the delivery of this type of therapy for 15 years and has seen over 300 children. She has authored several articles and training manuals on the administering of P-CIMT and other forms of intensive therapy. She has presented research findings in national and international meetings. Her particular interest and passion in research is the development of intensive therapies for children with diagnoses that have yet do not have evidence-based findings for intensive pediatric rehabilitation. Examples of these diagnoses include children with quadriparesis and global developmental delay. Wallace has dedicated her career to development of evidence-based intensive therapies to guide both clinicians and families in children with disabilities who might not otherwise receive such interventions because of the ability of intensive rehabilitation to create lasting impacts.
