Jamie Turner graduated from Radford University with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S.W. in Social Work. As an undergraduate she interned at Youth Advocates Program and The Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center where substance abuse issues became of interest. She completed a research assistantship in the rat lab at Radford University studying the effect of cannabinoids and malnutrition. Jamie has been contributing to ongoing research on decision making in substance use disorders and health behavior, novel targets for intervention, behavioral economics of nicotine products, and the understanding of recovery.
