Roanoke STEAM Day 2025

Friday, October 17, 2025 • 9:30 AM – 2:00 PM • Downtown Roanoke, VA

Roanoke STEAM Day is a free, fun-filled event for students to explore interactive exhibits and hands-on activities that highlight careers and topics in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Local museums, universities, and community organizations will open their doors to engage students in the heart of downtown Roanoke. This year’s event is designed specifically for public school students in grades K-8 and homeschool groups of all ages. 

Event Locations Include:
  • Taubman Museum of Art
  • Science Museum of Western Virginia
  • Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC)
  • Claude Moore Education Complex / Radford University Carilion
  • City Market Building (lunch + exhibitors)

Each location will offer STEAM-inspired experiences designed for specific grade levels, and all sites will include a safe quiet space available to students and caregivers throughout the day.

Register Your School Group
Teachers and group leaders: Please register by Friday, September 12 to ensure your students receive a scheduled itinerary. Include arrival/departure times and whether your group needs a lunch space.

Apply to Be an Exhibitor
Community organizations, universities, and STEAM professionals: Share your hands-on exhibit with students of all ages! Exhibitor registration deadline is Friday, September 5. Set-up begins at 8:30 AM on the day of the event.
