The Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC is honored to participate in the recognition of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023.  

Dr. King’s contributions to civil rights serve as an inspiration for all Americans.  His words continue to motivate generations and are particularly poignant and relevant today. There are many opportunities to participate in remembrances, to learn more about Dr. King’s legacy and to give back to the community and honor Dr. King through service in our area today and throughout the week.

Links to some of these opportunities in Roanoke and Blacksburg are provided below.  The Fralin Biomedical Research Institute will be participating in the Melrose neighborhood litter cleanup  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. -- all  all are invited.
