About this Seminar

Recent explosion in extracellular vesicle (EV) research underscores their significance as messengers of health and disease. Here, in this talk Dr. Sahoo will highlight their dual role: first, discuss EVs as a novel therapeutic gene delivery vector to treat heart failure for cardiac gene therapy. In the second part, she will discuss EVs as disease disseminators in patients with chronic kidney disease and Type-1 Diabetes causing heart failure. Dr. Sahoo will highlight potential applications of EVs in cardiovascular pathogenesis, diagnosis, biomarker discovery and therapeutics.
